Obama home rescue: 650,000 get help

Some 650,000 troubled borrowers have been put into trial loan modifications under the president’s foreclosure rescue plan, the Treasury Department said Tuesday.

  1. At least we’re moving in the right direction… 650K seems like a significant number.

    Now wouldn’t it be nice if we could speed things up by employing more people to sift through all the documentation, check on the communication between banks, etc.

    The numbers are great but its still a far cry from where we need to be.. 20%?? Where are all the other eligible homeowners? Lost in all the paperwork and fine print!
