State lawmakers are moving to slam the door on what some see as fly-by-night scammers who hold themselves out as “foreclosure consultants.”

Glad these guys are getting what they deserve, but why would anyone hire them anyway? Makes more sense to hire a qualified broker to do a loan modification, and no up front fees at all. Are you with me?

I am. I know people who have lost their homes and borrowed $$ on top of it all to pay these scammers. Preying on people in their time of need is the lowest of the low.
