FBI Investigating The “Final” Four,

The Wall Street Journal is Reporting that the FBI is investigating the “Final Four” in addition to the 22 other firms they have been investigating in the past year. The Final Four include: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Lehman Brothers and AIG.

The investigation will focus on the institutions and the individuals that ran them. I don’t know what they are looking for as of yet but I will find out soon enough and will keep you posted.

If you remember a few years back Fannie Mae had major accounting problems and they also had paid millions of dollars to their executives over the past few years. There has been A major outrage on why the government has never gone after those in charge of Fannie Mae at the time and there has also been some talk about the government having some executives returning some of the bonuses they got from Fannie Mae.

I believe that those politicians that took money from Fannie Mae executives, should return them. Since the books were cooked according to the investigation that money is the public’s money. I don’t think it will happen but if the books were cooked they should be returned.
