Economy Sheds 298,000 Private-Sector Jobs, ADP Says
Private-sector jobs in the U.S. fell 298,000 in August, according to a national employment report published Wednesday by payroll giant Automatic Data Processing Inc. and consultancy Macroeconomic Advisers.
The ADP loss is worse than the 213,000 drop projected by economists in a Dow Jones Newswires survey.
